Sarma Ozmen, Varsity Head Coach Sarma played for the Minnesota Thoroughbreds while attending Minneapolis Southwest High School. She played for the University of Minnesota 1997-2002, winning the National Championship in 2000. Following college, Sarma played for several teams throughout the world, including teams in Sweden, Latvia, Turkey and New Zealand. She began her coaching career in 2001, coaching youth teams in St. Paul. Her coaching assignments include Assistant Coach at Academy of Holy Angels (2004-07, "A" State Champions in 2005), Head Coach of the St. Paul Blades (2007-11), Assistant Coach at Hamline University (2011-12), and Head Coach at Tartan High School (2012-13). Sarma is happy to be coaching back home in Minneapolis!

Emrah Ozmen, Assistant Varsity Coach Emrah grew up playing hockey in Turkey, receiving most of his training from Russian, Slovakian and Bulgarian coaches. He has been a member of the Turkish National Team since 2000, and is the captain of the team. He continues to mentor younger players whenever he returns to visit Turkey. He was an assistant coach with the St. Paul Blades and Tartan High School before joining the MPLS Girls Hockey staff.
